Even though we're deep in the middle of summer, I'm up for a hike if you are! The heat outside is getting out of hand, but if we have the proper equipment, we can do anything. Being a lone ranger, or in other words, an introvert, doesn't mean you hate everyone. It just means you dislike the vast majority of people, and like to recharge alone. If people give me space and respect my boundaries, I could spend a lot of time with them. But when people fail to communicate with me, make faces when I tell them ahead of time that I'm not up for a party on the weekend and play possum via messages to get me to feel guilty, I'll quit that friendship, fast.

Those people are a dime a dozen, and just recently I had to send one of those long break-up texts to a friend because I was feeling incredibly manipulated, because of their blatant lack of understanding towards others, and their tendency to make everything about them. I just couldn't handle it. What can you do, adulting is hard. Sometimes you're going to lose people you thought were friends. But hey, you can always make new ones.
